:: Hévíz ::

Lake Hévíz the largest biologically active thermal water lake in the world , can be found in a geographically unique environment just 6km from Lake Balaton and 180km from Budapest and Vienna. The spring of the 4,4 hectare lake, which is rich in minerals, gushes from a 38m deep cave, where hot and cold cavern water have been mixing for several thousand years.

The lake produced 410 l/sec., which means that water is changed every three days. The erupting water's temperature at the source is 38,5 C and the lake's temperature varies between 24 C and 38 C according to the season, which enables winter bathing. The 33,9 hectare wood around the lake protects it from wind, and the continously evaporateing water keeps the nearby air clean which makes the area dust and pollenless, thus a perfect place to rest.

The steady and constant water flow has a beneficial effect on the body as it keeps bathers lightly massaged during the whole time they spend in the lake.

Wildlife is unique due to the unique surroundings. The red water lily planted in the lake that flowers even in late autumn gives a beautiful sight.

The therapeutic effect of Hévíz thermal lake enables a wide range of uses both in terms of prevention and treatment.

The basis of complex balneotherapy is thermal water, which is equally rich in dissolved and gas components thereby combining the favourable characters of carbonate, sulphur, calcium, magnesium, hydrogen carbonate and light radon emanation thermal water.
